Info for The Sunnyside of Ô-Celli

Eight solo cellists, all chamber musicians and concert artists, combine their energies and dreams in order to create an audacious and astonishing program, full of warmth and sensuality in the southern sun. Each arrangement is for them a challenge and a pleasure. Flamenco spirit, impressionist poetry or epicurean appetite, gentle grace and sentimental melody, melancholic tango or festive mambo.

This album is a burning invitation to travel. Fascinating track listing in which O-Celli radiates the passion of its performers.

Ô-Celli

Ô-Celli
What is lovelier than a cello? Eight cellos!

The cello, as the instrument closest in sound to the human voice, is probably one of the only ones that can successfully be multiplied, confronted with itself. In fact, its qualities become more pronounced, forming a unique, full sound suitable for a huge range of repertoire.

Ô-Celli was born of eight cellists’ passion for this almost supernatural vibration. In chamber music or concertante mode, their repertoire covers original compositions and made-to-measure arrangements, from Bach to Strauss by way of John Williams and Villa-Lobos.
