Ten years after Post Malone unveiled his debut mixtape, August 26th, the superstar has made the album available for the very first time.

Originally released in May of 2016, August 26th arrived following the release of Malone’s breakthrough single, “White Iverson.” The album marked his first full-length and offered a taste of the styles that would help skyrocket Posty to the top of rock, pop, hip-hop, and country.

The title August 26th references the planned release date for Malone’s debut studio album, Stoney. While that project was postponed and would arrive on December 9 of that year, August 26th is an encapsulation of the moments before Post Malone became a global superstar.

August 26th was executive produced by Post’s close collaborator, FKi 1st, who also handles some beatmaking on the record and even comes through with a guest verse on “God Damn.” Malone credits FKi with being an instrumental part of his development.

In a 2016 interview with Vibe, Posty explained: “Well, (FKi) 1st really put me on game about… how everything works, how deals work, and how everything goes. He was like the first producer that I worked with coming into L.A. He really taught me a lot of producing tricks and he made some dope beats for me. We started building our friendship and kept on working together. Now we’re just trying to make cool music and figure life out.”
