Info for Live at the Hordern Pavilion
Boy & Bear will release Live At The Hordern Pavilion on November 4th. The album was recorded at their sold-out show at Sydney’s iconic Hordern Pavilion earlier this year following the release of their third studio album, Limit Of Love, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart in their native Australia. The set list includes stand-outs from Limit Of Love, like “Walk The Wire” and “Where’d You Go,” as well as past fan favorites and chart toppers, like 2014 breakout song “Southern Sun” from sophomore album Harlequin Dream. In live reviews, Musicfeeds called the show “faultless” and Renowned For Sound gave the show five stars, praising, “Rousing ‘til the very end, these boys are not just musicians but artists.”
The quintet returned to the States earlier this week to launch their North American fall tour, which started yesterday in Austin, TX and will wrap November 3rd in San Diego, CA. All tour dates are listed below.
Named one of USA Today’s “5 Australian Acts You Need To Know Now,” Boy & Bear saw huge success in North America in 2014 with single “Southern Sun” from Harlequin Dream, which was Top 5 on the Triple A Top 30 Chart for five consecutive weeks. The band made their U.S. late night TV debut on CONAN, as well as appeared on NPR’s “World Café With David Dye” and VH1 Big Morning Buzz. In their home country, Harlequin Dream debuted at #1 on the ARIA Top Albums Chart and was certified Platinum.

Boy & Bear
Formed in 2009 as a solo vehicle for Sydney-based singer/songwriter Dave Hosking, Boy & Bear specializes in evocative and heartfelt indie folk-rock in the vein of contemporaries like Fleet Foxes, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Mumford & Sons. Rounded out by guitarist Killian Gavin, bass player Dave Symes, and brothers Tim (drums) and Jon Hart (mandolin, keyboards), the Aussie quintet inked a record deal with Island Records on the strength of its independently released first single, "Mexican Mavis." The group's debut EP, With Emperor Antarctica, dropped in early 2010, followed in 2011 by Boy & Bear's debut long-player, Moonfire, which went platinum in their native Australia. The band's sophomore outing, 2013's Harlequin Dream, would go gold. Their next album was captured, as much as possible, live in the studio direct to tape with producer Ethan Johns (Paul McCartney, the Vaccines), and represented a shift into synth-aided guitar pop. Limit of Love arrived in October 2015.
