Info for Cinema

A mix of indie jazz and film music with a zest of electronica: The trio's universe invokes the soundtracks of imaginary films, moments of cinema lodged in the collective unconscious: the love theme of a love scene, the trepidation of a chase, the flights of fancy of the great outdoors, the hectic suspense of a thriller... Pieces like sketches where improvisation comes from time to time to burn the reel of an old movie from the neighborhood cinema.

The French Bastards
Created by pianist Jc Prince in 2016 around his compositions, The French Bastards quickly put together a repertoire of 15 unclassifiable and hybrid pieces of jazz, classical and film music. They play their set list in concert cafés and on tours to test this "jazz for those who don't like jazz". They quickly signed two tracks produced by Stephane Ronget (The Rongetz Foundation, The Metropolitan Jazz Affair) on the New York label Brooklyn Butterfly Sound, recorded in New York with singer Lili Cooper. With 3 EPs, they are currently preparing a new tour and a totally revisited repertoire around the theme of CINEMA.

This album contains no booklet.
