Biography New Kids On The Block

New Kids On The Block
Formed in 1984, New Kids on the Block features brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood. Achieving massive commercial success through the late 1980s and early 1990s, the group ignited a musical movement selling more than 80 million albums worldwide.

The group released a series of crossover smash R&B/Pop hits including ‘You Got It (The Right Stuff)’, ‘Cover Girl’, ‘Didn’t I (Blow Your Mind This Time)’, ‘I’ll Be Loving You’, ‘Tonight’ and the back-to-back international Number One songs, 1988’s ‘Hangin’ Tough’ and 1990’s ‘Step By Step’.

Following a 14-year hiatus, New Kids on the Block reunited in 2007 and have toured consistently to sold out arenas, have sold nearly four million tickets and have doubled their crowd sizes. The Boston natives have been bestowed with their very own, “New Kids on the Block Day,” an honor not many can claim, and have played Fenway three times before. The group solidified their place in Hollywood with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2014 and will continue representing Boston on their journey long into the future.
