Born in 1978, his musical development was profoundly influenced by musicians and teachers such as Pavel Gililov, Vitalij Margulis, and Irina Vinogradova. He further developed his artistic personality through numerous master classes with renowned musicians such as Lev Naumov, Ivry Gitlis, Pierre Amojal, Zachar Bron, and Isaac Stern. Vadim Goldfeld studied at the Lübeck University of Music and Performing Arts and the Cologne University of Music and Dance. He received his diploma and concert examination with distinction in the class of Professor Pavel Gililov in Cologne.

Goldfeld's artistic work is documented in numerous concert recordings for radio and CDs, including those for NDR, Radio France, Radio Berlin, Radio Netherlands, and Radio Swiss Romande. The first CD with his brother, violinist Denis Goldfeld, about which Isaac Stern said: "Denis and Vadim Goldfeld... a great promise for the future," was released in 1998 on the Sony Classical label, featuring works by Mozart, Schubert, and Brahms. This was followed by recordings with works by Eugen Ysaye on the Zig-Zag Territoires label.

During this time, Vadim Goldfeld also discovered the joy of passing on his experience as a concert pianist. This enabled his students to achieve numerous successes at the national and international levels in a very short time. Goldfeld is a welcome juror at competitions.

Vadim Goldfeld is co-founder and, from 2014 to the end of 2017, director of the Lübeck-based talent development program "Courage to Muse."
