Info for Winning Streak

Winning Streak emerged from a period of taking stock: leaving Los Angeles, returning to the UK, and reassessing the definition of success. The album looks back at missed opportunities and reimagined futures, sitting with the desire for another chance at moments that have already slipped by. The title is intentionally ironic, less about uninterrupted triumph and more the stubborn act of continuing on, even when direction and momentum fade.

With themes of regret, nostalgia, and optimism, the tracklist covers long shots taken on love, the emotional aftershocks of risky decisions, and the quiet negotiations we make with ourselves when things don't go as planned.

Sonically, Winning Streak marries Bacharach-inspired orchestral arrangements and confessional songwriting. Strings and brass complement crooned vocals and honest storytelling. This push and pull between big band confidence and late-night vulnerability mirrors the album’s emotional landscape, balancing outward movement with inward reckoning.

Rather than presenting success as a fixed destination, Winning Streak reframes it as endurance, perspective, and the accumulation of small personal breakthroughs. It finds meaning in the quiet victories that only reveal themselves after plans have unravelled, and life has to be put back together again. Life moves quickly, knocks land often, and the goal posts keep shifting, but getting back up starts to feel like its own kind of winning.

Dan Croll

Dan Croll
Since first appearing on Communion Records’ New Faces compilation back in 2012, which landed him a New Band Of The Day feature in The Guardian, British singer-songwriter Dan Croll quickly became one of this country’s most beloved indie-rock acts.

With his 2014 debut album ‘Sweet Disarray’ landing at number 26 on the British album charts upon its release, before being followed up in 2017 with his much-loved sophomore LP ‘Emerging Adulthood’, the frontman was riding a wave of acclaim and notoriety across thousands of industry tastemakers.

In recent years, Dan emigrated to the United States, which is where he found inspiration for his third studio effort ‘Grand Plan’, a record that looked to define his time in a new country while also injecting a truly intimate level of storytelling to his work.

This album contains no booklet.
