Info for Clashes
Erlend Skomsvoll, Ida Løvli Hidle, Håkon Kornstad and Ensemble Allegria explore the intersection between classical music and jazz. What goes on inside the brain of a composer while he composes? And what happens to us when we face our own prejudices?
Erlend Skomsvoll, known from i.a. Come Shine, explores these themes together with accordionist Ida Løvli Hidle and Ensemble Allegria in the concert Clashes. The program lies in the intersection between classical music and jazz, and tenor and saxophonist Håkon Kornstad also naturally belongs in this area. We will hear two of Skomsvoll's own compositions, and his version of well-known Stravinsky works.
Ensemble Allegria is one of the country's leading chamber ensembles, and since its inception ten years ago, they have thrilled critics and audiences with virtuoso ensemble playing combined with a strong, engrossing joy of playing.
Kongsberg's own Ida Løvli Hidle is an outstanding accordionist, who after finishing soloist diploma studies in Copenhagen now plays all over the world with top musicians in everything from chamber opera to the jazz orchestra Skadedyr.
