Info for La Vita Quartet - Tango Nuevo by Astor Piazzolla

The album 'Nuevo Tango by Astor Piazzolla,' is full of compositions of Argentinian tango master in a fresh, acoustic interpretations. Ten pieces by Astor Piazzolla from the famous Libertango and Oblivion, energetic Escualo and La Muerte del Angel, moody Milonga del Angel and Resurrecction del Angel.

This is debut album from La Vita Quartet. The band was formed in 2010 by one of the most talented Polish accordion player, 18 years old, Michal Glowka who invited three other young soloist to his Piazzolla project. Since then they gave about 50 concerts. Most of their repertoire are compositions of Astor Piazzolla, but they also do jazz standards and their own pieces. They are winners of many international competitions. Professionale and passionable way of performing allows them to create an unforgettable atmosphere on their concerts and makes them one of a kind.

La Vita Quartet with admirable consistency and suprising maturity, considering their young age and a hardly two years' long stage experience, present a selection of the most beautiful compositions of Astor Piazzolla (1921 - 1992), the Argentinean master of Tango Nuevo, and cope successfully with challenges such as the expresion-demanding'angel' cycle ahead. Listening to these worldwide famous bandoneon musical statesments of the Argentinean globetrotter expressed with the souls and talents of the young Poles, I beleive in the climates they create and in the beauty and power of music that exist beyond country borders and cultures. 'La Vita' means life. This record is filled with it.“ (Andrzej Chylewski)
