How would it be if there were two young & talented musicians bringing together their passion for handmade music and their love for the Italian language?

They could write songs, reminding us of the anthems of Gianna Nannini or Zucchero. Handmade by some great musicians playing together in a recording studio. Just like in the good old times!

How would it be, when they would bring along all their influences from Toto, Steely Dan, Deep Purple and Tower of Power to Vasco Rossi, Pino Daniele and Laura Pausini to create something new? It would be like handmade music is back in a new dress of 2021.

Lu&Me is an Italian-German band with the singer Lucia Kastlunger and the drummer and producer Matthias Bäuerlein. 


In their carriers both worked with important persons of the rock history. Lucia played with „Dire Straights“ while Matthias as a freelance drummer played with Chris Thompson of „Manfred Mans Earthband“, Eric Martin of „Mr. Big“, Mungo Jerry, Pete York, Alastair Greene („Alan Parons Project“) and many more.

Lu&Me was founded in April 2020, when Lucia and Matthias decided to do their own band.

The first single "Solo Noi" was released during the Covid-19 Lockdown. The Song is about coherency and solidarity in difficult times. You can stay together even if you can´t see your friends and family in real life.

After many positive response "Lu&Me" decided to do a second single "Fiore Bianco" and to release the first EP "Solo Noi", too.

In September the third single "L´Amicizia" was released, while Lu&Me started already working on their upcoming album, which will be released in September 2021.

The EP Solo Noi has six great songs with different styles on it. Lu&Me unite their Rock, Pop and Jazz influences without loosing their personality at any time. The songs are worn by Lucias warm and powerfull voice and Matthias thick and creative drumparts. The Guitars, bass and keyboard parts come from studio musicians of Matthias former bands and productions. In „Fiore Bianco“ you will also find some real strings!

Lu&Me
bestehend aus Sängerin Lucia und Schlagzeuger Matthias liefern handgemachte Pop- & Rockmusik von internationalem Format.

Sängerin Lucia Kastlunger und Schlagzeuger und Produzent Matthias Bäuerlein haben sich vor zwei Jahren während einer Studioproduktion kennengelernt. Seitdem haben sie nicht nur in verschiedenen Projekten zusammengespielt, sondern auch gemeinsam komponiert. Sie sind so auf die Idee gekommen eine eigene Band zu gründen: „Lu&Me“.

Der Plan ist ein gemeinsames Album zu machen, das 2021 im März erscheinen soll. Darüber hinaus möchten die beiden eine feste Live Band um sich herum formieren.

Ziel ist es mit Deutschland und Italien nicht nur unsere Heimatländer für unsere Musik zu begeistern. Die Musik ist handgemachter Pop, reich an Persönlichkeit und Einflüssen. Beide sind sehr offen für die verschiedensten Musik Genre, Matthias fühlt sich von Fusion bis Rock wohl, Lucia kommt vom Jazz. All diesen Facettenreichtum hört man der Musik an.

Aktuell wird übers Internet mit Studio Musikern zusammengearbeitet. Da Matthias Bäuerlein Produzent ist und ein eigenes Tonstudio besitzt, produzieren sie in Eigenregie.
