Info for Westwind

Olivia Trummer confirms with her second album her great talent. All songs are her own compositions and original material. Their music has matured and virtuosity, but without sacrificing quality and catchiness. Olivia Trummer remains true to her style refreshing lightness. For this purpose, undoubtedly contributes to the new lineup of the trio: In addition to Joel Locher on always-warm and woody double bass virtuoso emerged Bodek Janke, with its variety of sounds on drums and percussion, the music in a new light. As a special guest for this second album she has the young Matthias Schriefl on trumpet and flugelhorn invited. Schriefl underlines the quality of her original compositions with his trumpet, which will appeal to jazz fans of the older generation. Olivia Trummer at the piano proves size by always leaving room for their congenial players and the moments when she steps into the spotlight, to the full development of their phonetic poetry uses.

This quartet understands this excellent, the quiet tracks 'Daydream' and 'Starry Night was' as exciting as the scene to put in far more playful and lively 'ICE'. With the title track, 'Westwind' is reminiscent of the modern jazz of the 60s.
