Info for A/B

Primarily recorded in Nashville alongside producer Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, James Bay), with additional contributions from Mike Crossey, Arnar Guðjónsson and the band, “A/B” features such extraordinary tracks as “I Can’t Go On Without You,” “No Good,” and the multi-format rock singles, “Way Down We Go” and “All The Pretty Girls” (see attached tracklisting).

Recently named by Rolling Stone as one of “10 New Artists You Need To Know,” Kaleo made their late night TV debut last month with a live performance of “Way Down We Go” on TBS’ Conan.

After relocating to Austin, TX from Iceland one year ago, Kaleo sold out their first ever US headline run at the top of 2016. The trek continues with a wide-ranging summer itinerary that includes headline dates, support spots, and performances at an array of radio concerts and festivals, including Gulf Shores, AL’s Hangout Festival; George, WA’s Sasquatch! Music Festival; Dover, DE’s Firefly Music Festival. In addition to the band’s sold-out release day show at El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, a number of July headline dates have just been announced. “Way Down We Go,” Kaleo’s current single, quickly ascended to the top 13 at Alternative radio having already lit up the top 10 at Triple A outlets nationwide. The song, which is climbing the Shazam US Top 100 chart as new fans discover it, has close to 11 million streams on Spotify and is nearing 100k in sales. It’s also making waves around the world: in the United Kingdom, the song is #7 on the overall Shazam chart, along with #4 in Ireland and #16 in Canada. “Way Down We Go” has been featured on a number of soundtracks, trailers, and promotions for Fox’s Empire, USA Network’s Suits, NBC’s Blindspot, EA Sports’ smash FIFA 16 video game, and the UK’s No7 Skin Care, among others.

Kaleo’s debut US single, “All The Pretty Girls,” received influential early support from SiriusXM’s The Spectrum before proving a cross-platform success with top 10 play at Triple A radio outlets nationwide, nearly 2.5 million YouTube views, and Spotify streams well in excess of 17 million. NPR described the song as “falsetto-fueled balladry meets Icelandic grandiosity.”

KALEO
After amassing over 4+ Billion global streams, 60+ international certifications, countless sold-out headlining shows, appearances at such noteworthy festivals as Coachella, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo plus a direct support slot opening for Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, the Rolling Stones, GRAMMY nominated, Icelandic rockers, KALEO, has proven to be a worldwide phenomenon.

Known for their electrifying live performances alongside frontman JJ Julius Son’s towering, blues-soaked vocals, KALEO toured nonstop for 3 years in support of their debut album, A/B, which has since gone platinum and spawned the megahit “Way Down We Go.” On the heels of sophomore release, Surface Sounds, the band embarked on their Fight or Flight World Tour coming out of Covid. 2022 saw them perform 97 times in 92 different cities across 22 countries, selling over one quarter of a million tickets globally.

Having spent the better part of 18 months stuck in isolation within their home country, it was both refreshing and gratifying to be able to play live music for live people, once again.

2023 will see the boys touring Australia and New Zealand, performing at a handful of notable European festivals, and recording their highly anticipated third album.

This album contains no booklet.
