While enjoying the role as a sideman he continuously had an eye on his soloproject, releasing two albums: Drifting (2017) & Lucid Dreams (2023). Musically bouncing back between Hip-Hop, Jazz and Popmusic, loving acoustic and electronic elements of music likewise. Max’s travels formed a big pool of musicians all around the globe and he invited them to be part of this collective. This project is about collabs. 2025 will birth the creative output of many visits to New York City of the recent years. The compositions of those years will have a specific focus on contemporary Jazz combined with spoken word in form of poems, short stories, samples and social cultural observations. Max Büttner
wohnhaft in Freiburg im Breisgau ist Schlagzeuger, Lehrer & Komponist & Produzent. Er wuchs in Aschaffenburg am Main auf und begann anschließend (2012) an der Hochschule für Kunst, Design und populärer Musik in Freiburg zu studieren. Während des Studiums, bereicherte er seine Live-Erfahrungen, indem er mit seinen Bands Teddy Smith & The Foreigners, LOLA funkt, Nightunes, Tonewood & United We Fall durch Europa tourte und bespielte hierbei Festivals wie das Donauinselfest in Wien, Jazzopen Stuttgart und trat im Fernsehen auf. Neben jahrelangem Privatunterricht bei Claus Hessler & Dom Famularo nahm er an zahlreichen Masterclasses teil und ist derzeit als Lehrer & Sessiondrummer tätig. Neben einen Bachelor Of Arts im Fach Schlagzeug und dem Profilfach Songwriting und Producing, hält er einen Masterabschluss (M.A educating artist) in Musikpädagogik der Popakademie Mannheim inne. Er dozierte an der Macromedia-Hochschule Freiburg & Stuttgart, ist mit der Band Zweierpasch auf Tour und ist darüberhinaus Bandleader und Songwriter seines eigenen Projekts (Max Buettner Collective)

Max Buettner is a german based drummer, songwriter, educator & producer, who was born in Aschaffenburg near Frankfurt a. Main. He began studying drums in 2012 at the university for art, design and popular music Freiburg. During his studies he expanded his live experience playing renown festivals such as the Jazzopen Stuttgart and Donauinselfest Wien, playing in TV and touring through Europe with his bands Teddy Smith & The Foreigners, Lola funkt, Nightunes, Tonewood & United We Fall. Besides private teachings from Dom Famularo and Claus Hessler, he had the opportunity to participate in numerous masterclasses with a lot of top names of todays drummers scene.

He holds and bachelor degree in drums and songwriting/producing and a masters degree in music pedagogy and lectured at Macromedia university Freiburg & Stuttgart.

Right now he shares the stage with Zweierpasch while also being the bandleader and main songwriter of his own project (Max Buettner Collective).
