Toshio Matsuura’s mission in presenting HEX is to deliver the progressive form of Jazz and spirit from Tokyo, Japan to the World.
Toshia Matsurra formly of the United Future Organisation has a new band Hex. Their album fuses jazz with some electronic sounds. ‘Tokyo Blue’s ft Ed Motta and a reworking of it as ‘Osaka Blues’ with Japanese lyrics sung by Yoshie Nakano are excellent. Tropicalia 14 has a brazilian bossa groove and is top dancefloor jazz. ‘Jazzstep’ starts with a drum solo then once the bass comes in grooves along nicely.
