With ‘Fruits of Passion & Sorrow’, the JBBG - Jazz Bigband Graz, founded 25 years ago in Graz, Austria, presents its twelfth album production. Once again it is a production in small format, the quintet JBBG - Smål. And with the Armenian percussionist Arto Tunçboyaciyan, also known for his collaboration with Joe Zawinul or Mike Stern, and the German guitarist Hanno Busch, who has become famous through pop artist Jan Delay or the band ‘Heavytones’ (TV Total), there are once again international guests on board who decisively characterize the sound of the production.

The Jazz Big Band Graz
was founded in Austria in 1998 and is considered one of the most innovative big bands in Europe. It combines traditional big band arrangements with modern jazz, funk and electronic influences, which has earned it international renown. Under the direction of Sigi Feigl and later Heinrich von Kalnein, the JBBG has released numerous albums, including "Urban Folktales". The band often works with guest musicians and soloists and is known for its powerful and complex live performances. The Jazz Big Band Graz stands for musical innovation and cross-genre soundscapes and has left a lasting mark on the European jazz landscape.
