Info for Freigeistin
I did what I always do. Observed, listened, wrote and sang.
I question traditions and long-learnt concepts. Is marriage still up to date? How does happiness work in a long-term relationship? Why didn't anyone tell me how much it hurts when the children leave home, and can you really be monogamous? I want wild nights and my lightness back, I want to feel something in a world that is becoming increasingly dull. I want to learn something new every day and I fight for what I believe in. My longing for escape and new beginnings dominates this album. I am many and we are all on this record.
I worry about our planet, my children growing up on it, the dwindling empathy of people, the greed and ruthlessness of corporations, autocrats and tech billionaires and how they are causing irreversible damage to the environment - and wonder what all this does to our humanity.

In times of war and climate change, I am more grateful than ever to have my family. A small group that belongs to me. Sometimes I am overwhelmed, overwhelmed by the world. From the information that comes at me unfiltered, from the demands on me as a person and a woman, from the simultaneity of things. Then I reflect on my small circle, look at what I can influence directly and often think: Okay, the world is crazy, but here, now and today everything is good for now. We are together, we have each other, today everything is good for now!
