Info for Boomer Bends

Ali Neander, who has been a versatile and busy guitar virtuoso in this country for many years (Rodgau Monotones, Moses Pelham, Edo Zanki, Sabrina Setlur, Rilke Projekt and many more. ) has teamed up with two drumming giants on his latest solo album ‘Boomer Bends’, namely Anika Nilles (Jeff Beck) and Moritz Müller (Gianna Nannini), to venture a new, fresh approach to something like ‘contemporary jazz rock’ and ‘progressive fusion’.

They are joined by Kai Eckhardt (ex John McLaughlin), Raoul Walton (Roachford, Westernhagen and many more), Jonathan Ihlenfeld Cunado (Trilok Gurtu) and Phlipp Rehm on bass, Neil Nail Alexander (Mahavishnu Project) and Ulf Kleiner (DePhazz), Martin Kasper (Kraan) and Hilde Müller (Nevell) on keys and many more guests. Following on from the two albums with Hellmut Hattler, ‘Boomer Bends’ is a sometimes fast-paced, sometimes meditative journey into the world of crooked bars, astonishing harmonies and emotional guitar sounds and proves that this music does not have to be a soulless demonstration of playing technique, but on the contrary, can be great fun.
