To mark the 50th anniversary of Dmitri Shostakovich’s death (9th August 2025), Deutsche Grammophon releases world premiere recordings and rarities by the great Russian composer – most of them recorded at the International Shostakovich Festival in Gohrisch (Saxony), the world’s only annual Shostakovich festival. Almost 80 minutes of largely unknown music by Shostakovich, interpreted by renowned artists: a must for every Shostakovich fan!
