Info for Easy Street
Beezy beach folk band The 502s will make their Big Loud Records’ album debut with Easy Street on September 5. The album doubles down on their mission as “the happiest band on Earth” – offering a baker’s dozen of tracks filled with their signature sunshine-y artistry and summer-inspired joy.
“Easy Street is the most vibrant world we’ve ever built,” share The 502s. “A musical escape where joy, warmth and human connection take center stage. It’s not a place on a map, but a mindset. A state of being where the chaos quiets, laughter comes easy and the people around you matter most.
“We made this album to be a place where we can all go to trade stress for stories, noise for melody and reality for those few golden moments where everything just feels right. That’s Easy Street – and we hope you find yourself there every time you press play,” the band continues.
Ahead of the 13-song album penned largely by lead vocalist / banjo / guitar player Ed Isola alone, the new song “End of the World” utilizes a hypothetical apocalyptic ending to proclaim devotion for a loved one, the song declares: If the end of the world is tonight, then I’ll stay with you.
Hailing from Florida, the five closeknit band members draw inspiration from the likes of Mumford & Sons and The Avett Brothers infusing their rambunctious work with “stomping sounds, blaring trumpets, and charismatic personalities” (Cowboys & Indians).”
Ed Isola, lead vocals, banjo, acoustic guitar
Joe Capati, saxophone, trumpet, harmony vocals
Sean Froelich, drums, percussion
Nick Dallas, bass, harmony vocals
Graci Phillips, guitar
The 502s
are a beach folk band from Florida, often called “the happiest band on Earth.” With breezy banjos, shout-along choruses, and an energy that bursts like a cannonball into a swimming pool, their music feels like sunshine you can dance to. Their song “Just A Little While” made a viral splash with over 150M streams to date. With a heavy touring presence, and sold-out run last fall, the band will embark on their Easy Street Tour this fall hitting iconic stages across North America including New York’s Iving Plaza and West Hollywood’s Troubadour. The 502s first songs via Big Loud Records, “Summer Fling” and “End of the World,” are available now in advance of their forthcoming studio album Easy Street, out Sept 5. The 13-song album will have you barefoot in the sand, laughing with friends, and singing at the top of your lungs—even if it’s just in your kitchen.
