Info for Is This Me?
New release from French Indie-Pop duo Juliette Paquereau (vocals) and Rémy Galichet (piano, guitars). After a first exposure in Les Inrockuptibles magazine's 2003 newcomer contest, the band went to Bruxelles, Belgium to record a first self-titled album in 2004.
Though not reaching commercial success, the album was warmly received on the critics side, those appreciating Diving With Andy's assimilation of their Brit-Pop and melancholic Smiths-derived influences, served by Juliette Paquereau's beautiful voice (from which was absent the typical French accent that somehow threatens many formations lyrical credibility) and the remaining duo's musical craftsmanship.
