Info for ABBA for Orchestra
Abba, from winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 were to become one of the most popular groups of all time. Carl Davis saw the performance that night and admired the cleverness of the arrangement, the composition, and the sheer cheekiness of their presentation. Forty years later, their music lives on and he decided, having taken soundings from colleagues and industry representatives, to make an Abba for Orchestra album, having already successfully made Beatles for Orchestra and Bond for Orchestra albums.
