Described a “wizard of sound,” (Poland Twoja Muza) Jeremy Reynolds joined the faculty of the University of DDenver Lamont School of Music after performing as Principal Clarinetist with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra. Currently Associate Principal Clarinet of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, he has also performed with the Colorado Symphony, Des Moines Metro Opera, New World Symphony, Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra, and at the Aspen Music Festival, National Orchestral Institute and National Repertory Orchestra. Notably, Reynolds has garnered accolades at esteemed competitions at the Coleman and Carmel National Chamber Music Competitions and has shared the stage with luminaries like Itzhak Perlman, Don Weilerstein, Paul Katz, Ronald Leonard, Stefan Milenkovich, and Merry Peckham.

Through his artistry and dedication, Reynolds continues to inspire audiences and students around the world, ensuring that the clarinet remains a vital and dynamic voice in the music of today and tomorrow. He has performed on six continents, captivating audiences at the European Clarinet Association, Clarimania (Poland), ClariBogota (Colombia), Cultural Festival of Portugal’s World Exposition, Australian Clarinet and Saxophone Festival, One Month Festival (South Korea) and the International Alliance for Women in Music. Reynolds made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2015 with the Waldland Ensemble, premiering works by Libby Larsen, Kenji Bunch, Dana Wilson, Michael Kimber, and Anthony Constantino. This performance underscored his strong commitment to advocating for new music, as he has commissioned and recorded numerous works by Jenni Brandon, David Maslanka, Theresa Martin, Chia-Yu Hsu, Daron Hagen, Pinchas Schoenfeld, and James Lee III, among others, significantly expanding the clarinet repertoire. It stands as an achievement that showcases both his technical skill and interpretative depth, reflecting his commitment to championing innovative voices in classical music.

Reynolds is equally distinguished as an educator, shaping the next generation of clarinetists through his work at the Lamont School of Music, where he serves as Professor of Clarinet and Chamber Music and Chair of the Woodwind Department. His teaching philosophy emphasizes the integration of technical mastery, musical expression, and a comprehensive understanding of repertoire. Highlighting his reputation as a sought-after pedagogue, Reynolds has been invited to teach at some of the world’s leading conservatories, including the Prague Academy of Music, Conservatoire de Versailles, Mahler Private University, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Estonian Academy of Music and Theater, Grieg Academy of Music, Seoul National University, Soochow University, and the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya to list a few.

Reynolds is a Buffet Group Performing Artist and Lomax Classic Mouthpiece Performing Artist. His principal teachers include Yehuda Gilad, Richie Hawley, Bil Jackson, Monica Kaenzig, Michele Zukovsky, Michael Galvan, David Minelli, and Susan Martula. He has recorded for PARMA Recordings, Albany Records, MSR Records, Summit Records, and Potenza Music.
