Flanders Symphony Orchestra
is one of the leading orchestras in Flanders. Composed of very passionate musicians and led by well-known conductors, the Flanders Symphony Orchestra plays new compositions as well as innovative interpretations of the well-known symphonic repertoire from the classical period.

Founded in 1960, the orchestra has been conducted by distinguished conductors such as David Angus, Etienne Siebens, Seikyo Kim and Jan Latham-Koenig. Since 2019, the orchestra has been led by the new chief conductor Kristina Poska.

Dirk Brossé
an internationally acclaimed conductor and award winning composer, is currently Music Director of “The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia,” Artistic director of “Prima La Musica” and music director of “The World Soundtrack Academy” at Ghent Film festival. He is also professor of composition and conducting at the “School of Arts / Royal Conservatory of Music” at his hometown Ghent, Belgium. He has composed some 400 works, including concerti, oratorio’s lieder, chamber music and symphonic works. Recently Dirk received from His Majesty King Filip of Belgium the highest award from the Belgian Monarchy: “Commander in the Order of Leopold.” The documentary Brossé, a destiny in Music by Jacques Servaes received international acclaim.

Zemlinsky Quartet
Founded in 1944, the Zemlinsky Quartet has since its inception become a shining example of Czech String Quartet culture. Named after the Austrian composer, conductor and teacher Alexander Zemlinsky (1871-1942) who made a major contribution to Czech, German and Jewish culture during his 16-year stay in Prague. His four string quartets are part of the ensemble’s standard repertoire. In 2010 the Zemlinsky Quartet won the “First Grand Prize” at the International String Quartet Competition. One of a long line of prizes won. The quartet can be heard regularly in her home country of the Czech Republic, but is also known worldwide.
