Marc André ist ein einfühlsamer und talentierter Musiker und gehört zu den wenigen, die den Kontrabass als Soloinstrument gewählt haben, wodurch er ihn aus den Reihen des Orchesters ins Rampenlicht rückt. Als einer der wenigen Kontrabassisten, die eine Solokarriere eingeschlagen und einen Vertrag bei einem großen Label unterzeichnet haben, spielt Marc einen modifizierten Kontrabass, dessen Klang dem eines Cellos ähnelt.
Für dieses Debütalbum hat er ein vielseitiges Programm ausgewählt, das verschiedene Epochen und Stile umfasst. Von bekannten Melodien von Gluck bis Piazzolla, mit Tschaikowski dazwischen, zeigt das Repertoire die gesamte Ausdruckskraft des Kontrabasses in Arrangements für Klavier und Kontrabass. Auf zwei Titeln wird Marc zudem vom Gitarristen Gabriel Bianco begleitet.
