He has been awarded with the distinguished award as “Best Jazz Trumpet Player in the World” two times by the acknowledged jazz blog “Jazz Station” by Arnaldo De’Souteiro, and his extremely potent and aggressive play has since the 80’s been a constant source of satisfaction for jazz lovers. He has performed all over the world with his own groups and played with the iconic Page One among others and also many of our young, leading jazz musicians. Stylistically, we are back in the 70’s and 80’s when Freddie Hubbard and Woody Shaw set the agenda – while Bergcrantz adds inspirations from all that music which has influenced jazz since.
