Netherlands Mixed Youth Choir
Vocal Talent Nederland, the foundation that organizes the National Children's Choir, the National Boys Choir, the National Mixed Youth Choir, and the National Women's Youth Choir, has been making a significant contribution to the classical music culture in the Netherlands and beyond for 35 years. These choirs have collaborated in over 100 different productions with professional orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, choirs such as the Groot Omroepkoor, Cappella Amsterdam and Netherlands Chamber Choir, and the Dutch National Opera and Ballet, ranging from Bach to Stockhausen. They have been Artist in Residence at TivoliVredenburg in '21/'22 and sang for ten consecutive years during the National Remembrance Day on May 4th in the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam. Recently, the National Women's Youth Choir received the Concertgebouw Award, recognizing years of dedication to the training of young vocal talent. Vocal Talent Nederland is also a breeding ground for professional musicians in the Netherlands. Many of our alumni have found their way to conservatories, professional choirs, and orchestras, building successful careers in the music world, grounded in the solid training and experience they gained in the National Choirs. Notable examples include Lucie Horsch, Wishful Singing, Nora Fischer, Sterre Konijn and KOBRA, Rebecca Wise, and Steven van der Linden.
De TUIN
is part of Vocal Talent Netherlands. This organisation scouts young vocal talent throughout the country and offers them the chance to blossom under the guidance of professionals. Vocal Talent Netherlands works together with the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and the Conservatorium in Utrecht. In four different National Choirs, talents aged between 10 and 29 can gain stage experience and learn to make music together.
