Info zu Bacewicz: Chamber Music

It has been an amazing journey recording the violin and piano works of Grazyna Bacewicz (including two world premieres!) - we hope that while listening to our album you will experience the excitement that we felt and tried to share in our performances.

We’ve explored some of the composer's earliest chamber pieces, written while she was still a student (and never published) as well as her I Piano Sonata (also unpublished), which is undeservedly overshadowed by the popular II Sonata. To complete the programme, we have chosen Bacewicz’s mature sonatas for violin and piano, including the famous IV – arguably her best-known chamber work.

The beautiful artwork for our cover was designed by Natalia Lewandowska.
