Mit dieser Veröffentlichung konzentriert sich das Xenakis Trio auf zwei wichtige Säulen seines Repertoires: Iannis Xenakis und Steve Reich. Zwei unterschiedliche Visionen zeitgenössischer Percussion, zusammengeführt in einem Dialog von Materialien, Rhythmen und Resonanzen. Aus ihrem ersten Album Alliages nehmen diese Werke hier eine neue Dimension an: Die Wärme des Vinyls stellt die gesamte Dichte der Instrumentalgeste wieder her, die Maserung der Klangfarbe, die rohe Pulsation des perkussiven Klangs. Diese Ausgabe ist ein Resonanzfeld – ein Raum, in dem sich die tektonischen Kräfte der Musik des 20. Jahrhunderts mit den künstlerischen Ansprüchen eines Trios verbinden, um die Grenzen des Klangs zu suchen.

The Xenakis Trio
composed of percussionists Adélaïde Ferrière, Emmanuel Jacquet, and Rodolphe Théry, performs a repertoire of contemporary music masterpieces while highlighting the infinite diversity of percussion timbre. Paying homage to Iannis Xenakis (1922-2001), one of the first composers to highlight the instrument in a solo and chamber-style light, the trio combines rhythmic virtuosity with rich and refined sonorities to offer consistently engaging performances.

Graduates of the Conservatoire de Paris, the three musicians share a passion for exploring contemporary repertoire, creating new works, and engaging with contemporary artists. Their residency at the Fondation Singer-Polignac in 2018 allowed them to deepen their mastery of the repertoire and become Associate Artists of the Foundation in 2025.

The Trio has performed at the Philharmonie de Paris, the Auditorium de Radio-France, the Ravel Festival, the Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival, the Bel-Air Claviers Festival, and the Louvre Museum, and their concerts have been broadcast on Arte, medici.tv, France Musique, Pathé Live, and CultureBox. In 2019, the Trio collaborated with Ivo van Hove and the actors of the Comédie Française on the play Electra/Oreste, for more than 70 performances at the Salle Richelieu and the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus.

The three percussionists have had the opportunity to collaborate with Thierry Escaich, Yan Maresz, Othman Louati, Giani Caserotto, and Yaron Herman, as well as with artists from diverse backgrounds such as dancer Élodie Sicard, lighting artist Vivian Daval, and the group Feu Chatterton. They have also had the opportunity to share the stage with pianists Théo Fouchenneret, Jonas Vitaud, Rodolphe Menguy, the Messiaen Trio, and the Hanson Quartet. Interested in the multidisciplinary dimension of classical and contemporary music, the Trio also participated in the inauguration of Jean Tinguely's Cyclop in May 2022 and created their first light show in 2023 at the Artonov Festival in Brussels.

The musicians have their own collection on the B.Records label and have just released their third album, Alliages, in November 2024, dedicated to the contemporary percussion repertoire.
