„Special Blend“ ist der Titel des neuen Albums von Bodinrocker, alias Anders Bodin. Mit „Special Blend“ setzt Bodinrocker seinen bisherigen Weg fort und hält die klassische melodische Rocktradition mit Einflüssen von Status Quo, Whitesnake, The Beatles, Slade, Neil Young und anderen am Leben.

Das Album wurde in Göteborg aufgenommen und von Anders und Lars Ekberg gemeinsam produziert. Zusammen mit seinem Schwager Lars Ekberg am Keyboard und der neuen Rhythmusgruppe, bestehend aus Anders Mossberg am Bass (Jerusalem) und dem norwegischen Schlagzeuger Fredrik Wallumröd (El Caco, Span), liefert „Special Blend“ 49 Minuten klassischen Rock, der direkt aus dem Herzen kommt.

Die meisten Songs wurden von Bodin zusammen mit dem Niederländer Jan Leentjes geschrieben, einer erfolgreichen Songwriting-Partnerschaft, die sich über fast 15 Jahre entwickelt hat und bis heute besteht. „Lustigerweise haben wir uns noch nie persönlich getroffen, aber wir haben unsere Arbeitsweise gefunden, bei der Jan Texte zu bereits fertigen Melodien liefert, was nicht einfach ist”.

Zum ersten Mal wird ein Song auf Schwedisch gesungen. „Ligger I Min Famn“ war ursprünglich ein Schlaflied, das Bodin für seinen ersten Sohn geschrieben hat, aber hier wurde es zu einem dynamischen Heavy-Rock-Song ausgebaut und weiterentwickelt.

Ein Ziel von „Special Blend“ war es, ein rockiges „Feel-Good-Album“ zu liefern. Es besteht der echte Wunsch, mit Musik, die die Menschen hoffentlich glücklich macht, positive Energie und Freude zu verbreiten.

Bodin wuchs in Jämtland im Dorf Hallen auf, wo er im Alter von 10 Jahren begann, Gitarre zu spielen, Songs zu schreiben und seine erste Band, Blackboard, zu gründen. Während seiner Schulzeit spielte er häufig mit seiner Band 12 Bar Boogie in Schulen und Jugendzentren in Uppsala. Schließlich landete Bodin in Göteborg und gründete 2005 Bodinrocker. Nach vier Alben in voller Länge, „Hall Of Flames” im Jahr 2006, „Mysterious Man” im Jahr 2010, „Rock It The Right Way” im Jahr 2014 und „Eye To Eye” im Jahr 2018, ist Bodinrocker nun zurück und behauptet mit seinem neuen Album, wie ein Zitat aus den USA, dass „die alte Schule nicht tot ist – oder sich auch nur ausruht”. .

Bodin´s interest in music started when growing up in the small village Hallen in Jämtland in the middle of Sweden. He started playing the guitar and writing songs at the age of 10. His songwriting has been influenced by Status Quo, Beatles, Slade and Neil Young and many more.

Inspired by Status Quo's supposedly farewell gig at the ice stadium in Stockholm in 1984, Anders, along with his first band Blackboard, managed to get the entire school auditorium to sing along to Bye Bye Johnny. After those experiences this 12 year old boy knew what he wanted to do. During his teenage years in Uppsala he played more school auditoriums with the band 12 Bar Boogie. After moving to Gothenburg in the 90s Anders focused more on his education and on his job. But in the early 2000s the time was right for Anders to take on his music seriously again.

In 2006 his debut album Hall Of Flames was released under the name Anders Bodin. The album was co-produced by Lars Ekberg, his brother in law, and was released by his own company Bearman Music. It ended up being a very guitar oriented album in the classic rock style and got some great attention. The title track was used by TV4, in Sweden, as background music when the swedish astronaut Christer Fuglesang was about to do his first space trip.

In june 2008 Anders Bodin was back in the studio for his next album. He once again worked with the same musicians as from the first album. Marcus Sigvardsson on bass and Klas Anderhell on drums, who also have worked with well known swedish artists such as Jerusalem, Mikael Rickfors, Mats Ronander, Jerry Williams, Carola and many others. Lars Ekberg was once again back as the co-producer and the recordings took place at Oakmountain studio in Gothenburg.

April 2010 saw the release of Mysterious Man. An album loaded with melodies, guitar riffs, hammond organ, boogie and straight forward rock. This time Anders Bodin decided to use his old nickname Bodinrocker.

Highlights of that year were the release party for "Mysterious Man" at the venue of Henriksberg in Gothenburg and of course being the opening act to the legendary Status Quo in Stenungsund, Sweden, in july.

In late 2010 and early 2011 Anders Bodin was filmed by Titan Television during 4 weeks at his work in the ambulance service in Gothenburg. This was a part of the reality series “112 på liv och död" and was first broadcasted on swedish TV4 during 2011/2012 and has since then been shown on television now and then.

Rock It The Right Way is the title of Bodinrocker´s third album, released in May 2014. Once again co-produced by Anders Bodin and Lars Ekberg. For this album singer-guitarist Anders Bodin recruited Klas Anderhell on drums and Stefan Deland on bass, who are also the current rhythm section of Swedish band Sven-Ingvars. Like on the first two albums the music is in the classic rock domain with songs ranging from heavier rock tracks to lighter pop-rock tunes with clear melodies.

This album saw the start of new songwriting partners. The lyrics were written in collaboration with his friend and singer/songwriter Mårten Lärka and with Jan Leentjes from Holland.

Spetember 14 2018 saw the release of the "Eye To Eye" album. Productionwise and musically this was probably the best Bodinrocker album until then. The performing musicians were once again Anders Bodin (guitars and vocals), Lars Ekberg (piano, organ) and the rhythm duo from "Sven- Ingvars", Klas Anderhell (drums) and Stefan Deland (bass). Jan Leentjes continued to be an important part lyricwise.

Special Blend is the title of the brand new album due for release March 6 2026. With Special Blend, Bodinrocker continues on his previous path, keeping the classic melodic rock tradition alive. For this album there is a new rhythm section consisting of Anders Mossberg on bass (Jerusalem) and Norwegian drummer Fredrik Wallumröd (El Caco, Span).
