Info for SAINT (Deluxe EP)
80’s inspired rhythms with a depth that extends beyond the typical – Bobi Andonov has released his debut EP, Saint. A collection of tracks that are soulful, expressive and delve deep into the complexities and intricacies of romance and the feelings that accompany it. Stepping into Andonov’s world, Saint opens with a haunting, shimmering melody that shuffles seamlessly into "Between The Lines" a song with a lifting beat that shows off the singer's vocals.
Australian-born, LA-based artist Bobi Andonov has dropped his highly anticipated sophomore EP, 'SAINT'. The genre-bending alt-pop collection is a deeply personal exploration of evolution, heartbreak, and the complexities of relationships.
'SAINT' offers an intimate glimpse into the artist's life, with Andonov's raw and undeniably electric sound carrying the listener through themes of self-discovery and raw emotion. His introspective lyrics and diverse musical influences create a uniquely compelling soundscape.
The EP's title track, 'Saint', was a labour of love for Andonov. "It was an exciting project that took a while to complete. The idea had been on my mind for months, and watching The Bee Gees documentary finally sparked it. The studio scenes behind classic hits inspired the layered chorus in "Saint," pulling the song together."
He continued, "The song is about someone trying to cover up past wrongs by pretending to be good suddenly. It's like when people turn to religion to clear themselves. One standout line is ‘you know that your faith can't make you a saint,’ summing up the message.”
Andonov describes 'SAINT' as a "defining moment." He returned to his family home in Melbourne to write during the winter, finding the space and solitude to delve into his experiences in LA. This allowed him to expand his sonic world, drawing from eclectic influences like Prince, Jai Paul, and INXS. Back in LA, he collaborated with Dylan Bauld (Halsey, Lights, Flor) and Sam Watters (Lucky Daye, Whitney Houston, Bebe Rexha) to bring the EP to life.

Bobi Andonov
undergoes a transformative journey in his sophomore EP, “SAINT,” where he transcends tumultuous relationships and homecomings, delving into the realm of genre-defying alt-pop. The Macedonian-Australian artist draws inspiration from his heritage and film noir to narrate tales of heartbreak, difficult conversations, and late-night revelations. Growing up on stage has equipped Bobi to now confidently command it.
Describing “SAINT” as a pivotal “skin-shedding moment,” Bobi crafted the EP with clarity during his return to his family home in the midst of a Melbourne winter last year. Stripped of distractions and given the space to contemplate his life in LA, the singer-songwriter expands upon the cinematic universe introduced in his debut EP, ‘In Bad Company,’ revealing more of himself through an eclectic blend of influences such as Jai Paul, Childish Gambino, and Prince.
