Biographie Julien Bracht

Julien Bracht
is a rising star of Europe's live electronic music scene. A talented producer and an extraordinary live act, Bracht first discovered rhythms at the age of six when he started playing drums. At 16, inspired by French electro artists like Daft Punk and Justice, Bracht began experimenting with music production and fully committed himself to music by studying audio engineering at Frankfurt's SAE Institute.

While in Frankfurt, Bracht fell in with the right crowd, and ended up becoming a part of the city's burgeoning DJ and club scene. Soon after he was performing live at Frankfurt's legendary Funky People parties, and by 2010, Bracht had released his first cut 'My Pussy' featuring Martyné.

A year later, Bracht dropped his first EP 'Down Under' on AMA Recordings, which featured a Damian Schwartz remix. The EP was picked up by various big name DJs and was played all over the world.

Since then, Bracht's productions have slowly picked up momentum. Releases on respected labels like Playhouse, Cecille, and Raum…Musik have built a growing fan base around him, including a large number of credible DJ supporters like Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Loco Dice, Matthias Tanzmann, Cassy, Arpiar, Reboot, Sascha Dive, Jay Haze, Nick Curly, Tobi Neumann and many more.

In 2011 Bracht took a big step and developed his own unique live setup. The acoustic drum installation allows Bracht to use his drumming skills from his youth, and create a distinct atmosphere as he plays his own productions. Every performance is different. While the roots of his live shows are his own tracks, Bracht improvises when it comes to the drums and percussion, and the result is a fluid, raw, and free-spirited approach to club music.
