Info for First Shot

Pierre Manetti's future seems to be all set. Indeed, he is the youngest son of the famous guitarist Romane and the brother of Richard Manetti, also a guitarist.

It was under the guidance of his father that Pierre Manetti sketched out his first notes on the guitar and thus refined his playing.

In 2009, he won the special Young Talent prize at the Festival des Puces de Saint-Ouen. Then, he met a lot of people who naturally led him to play in many jazz clubs, including the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées for the tribute to Django Reinhardt: Django 100.

Strengthened by his experiences, Pierre presents us, as the name indicates, his first shot, his first album.

We discover here above all a real band where the sometimes muscular, sometimes refined interventions of Christophe Cravero on the C2D organ, the the C2D organ, drummer Laurent Locuratolo and bassist Henri Dorina.

Pierre Manetti's guitar playing is at its best on the ten original compositions he wrote himself.

The freshness and enthusiasm of his interventions are communicative and win instant support. Endowed with a flawless intensity, but not without some sumptuous ballads, First shot manages to hit the bull's eye!

Pierre Manetti
At 17 years old, his presence at the 2009 Concours des Puces de Saint Ouen in a trio, with a pianist-singer and a rhythm guitar, made him naturally win the 2009 Special Prize of this Young Talent Contest.

Pierre has already played in numerous venues and festivals: the New Morning, the Django Reinhardt Festival in Samois-sur-Seine, Jazz à Vienne, the Antibes Juan-les-Pins Jazz Festival, the Patrimonio Guitar Festival, the Duc des Lombards... without forgetting his participation at the Champs Elysées theatre in the show "Django 100" alongside Angelo DEBARRE, ROMANE and Rocky GRESSET, or at the Théâtre du Châtelet in 2010 for the commemoration of the centenary of Django Reinhardt's birth.

The year 2011 marks his entry into two of the most prestigious jazz festivals: JAZZ A VIENNE and JAZZ A JUAN.

On 24 July 2011, Pierre Manetti performed at the Petite Pinède in Juan-les-Pins, at the Antibes Juan-les-Pins Jazz Festival with Lévis Adel-Reinhardt and Vivien Aubé. A concert/interview immortalised by PleinSudTV.

In June 2012, Pierre Manetti is invited to the Moscow Jazz Festival with his quartet, where he is a great success.

The year 2013 is the year of the release of the family album for a 100% guitar and 100% family trio: "Guitar Family Connection". ROMANE and his two sons, Pierre and Richard, present us with a family story through eleven tracks of great musical standards or personal compositions.

In 2014, the family group performed at the Pinède Gould of the prestigious Festival d'Antibes Juan-les-Pins in front of an enthusiastic audience!

And in 2017, the Patrimonio Guitar Festival invited the group for a special "gypsy" evening which ended with a giant jam session by the Romane-Manetti trio with the Stochelo Rosenberg trio.

Pierre never ceases to surprise us with his prestigious stages and his beautiful collaborations!"
